Mr. Wicks Njenga was formerly a teacher from May 1988 to May 2001, teaching Economics, Business Education and Geography as a graduate teacher in various Public Secondary Schools. He was elected as Kiambu Branch of Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Executive Secretary from 2001 to 2010 and re-elected from Jan. 2013 to date.

He was later elected as a National Treasurer of Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers – KUPPET on July 2006 to June 2011 and re-elected in the same position on 25th of June 2011 for a period of five (5) years i.e. to June 2016.  He was re-elected to the same position again in 2016 where he serves to date. He has been an Examiner with Kenya National Examinations Council.

Mr. Njenga was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in January 2021 and reappointed in 2024.

He is a holder of Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University 1988: -  Economics, Geography and Education
