Section 9 of the Act established a Fund known as the Public Service Superannuation Fund, which vests in and is operated and managed by the Board into which there shall be paid—

1. into the Fund all contributions and any other payments required by this Act to be paid into the Fund; and
2. out of the Fund, all the benefits and any other payments required under the provisions of this Act to be paid out of the Fund.
