The objective and purpose of the Public Service Superannuation Scheme is to;

1. Pay retirement benefits to members of the Scheme;
2. Ensure timely payments of benefits to members as and when they become due;
3. Improve the social security of members; and
4. Establish a uniform set of rules, regulation and standards for the administration and payment of retirement benefits for members of the Scheme.
