PSSF CEO Urges Payroll Managers, HR to Boost Data Accuracy for Timely Payouts
Public Service Superannuation Fund (PSSF) CEO Dr. Jonah Aiyabei has called on payroll managers and HR directors across government institutions to enhance coordination and ensure accurate member data to speed up benefit payments.
“By capturing the data, we’ll pay them at exit,” Dr. Aiyabei said, underscoring the Fund’s reliance on employer-submitted information to process retirement benefits. He noted that data on exiting members must be shared promptly to avoid delays in disbursement.
Speaking during an ongoing sensitisation forum for HR directors, payroll accountants, and pension officers from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Dr Aiyabei emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to data management. He said the session marked the first in a series of engagements aimed at strengthening the Fund’s relationship with key stakeholders.
The PSSF is also deploying new technology systems to facilitate real-time updates of member records, including onboarding new employees.
“We are leveraging technology not just for efficiency but for accountability to our members,” he said.
