CEO Welcomes New Chairman Amb. Hussein Dado, Briefs Him on Scheme Milestones and Outlook
The Public Service Superannuation Fund (PSSF) has officially welcomed Amb. Tuneya Hussein Dado as the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. Amb. Dado’s appointment was made by the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning for a three-year term running from 2025 to 2028.
PSSF Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jonah Aiyabei received and held a detailed briefing session with the incoming Chairman, updating him on the Fund’s latest developments, strategic priorities, and future plans. The meeting provided an overview of the Fund’s operational performance, member services, investment portfolio, and progress in implementing the Public Service Superannuation Scheme (PSSS) Regulations, 2025.
Amb. Dado joins the Fund at a time of increasing member enrolment, rising asset growth, and renewed focus on digital transformation and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Aiyabei expressed confidence that the new Chairman’s leadership, experience in public service, and diplomatic background would greatly benefit the Fund's mission to secure the retirement future of Kenya’s public servants.
“We are honoured to welcome Amb. Dado as Chair of the Board,” Dr. Aiyabei said. “His wealth of experience and commitment to public service will be key as we continue implementing reforms to enhance efficiency, transparency, and value for our members.”
Amb. Dado, who previously served as Governor of Tana River County and as a diplomat, reaffirmed his dedication to strengthening governance at PSSF and supporting initiatives that enhance the long-term sustainability of the Scheme.
